At Mount Pearl, N.L., the under-14 girls had a strong showing but fell 3-2 in penalty kicks to Quebec. Elise Brennan and Jill MacDonald scored in regulation for Nova Scotia.

In under-16 action, Nova Scotia lost 1-0 to Manitoba.

At Sherbrooke, Que., the under-14 boys fell 4-0 to British Columbia while the under-16 boys dropped a 3-0 decision to Quebec.

Action resumes today.
