A green-homes development project orchestrated by TV personality Mike Holmes is set to be appealed by the town of Okotoks.
The town of Okotoks is appealing the decision for the Wind Walk project, which would place over 400 energy-efficient houses on land just south of Okotoks town limits, but Holmes Group director Seth Atkins is hopeful his organization will be successful.
“Our hope is for everyone to work together, and at this point we’re just preparing to go through the appeal process,” Atkins said of the plan, already approved by the municipal district approved.
Okotoks officials claim they are worried about where the development will get its water, but Atkins said the Holmes Group has gone “above and beyond” in quenching those concerns.
