Transgender activist Jazz Jennings, 14, announced that she is one of the new faces of Clean & Clear. She wrote on Twitter, “The REAL me is DETERMINED to CREATE CHANGE! Check out our new Clean & Clear video! #SeeTheRealMe.“ Jennings talks about how difficult middle school was for her on her video for Clean & Clear.”I’ve always known exactly who I am,” she says. “I was a girl trapped in a boy’s body. Growing up has been quite a struggle being transgender, especially in middle school … The real me is happy and proud to be who i am and i’m just having fun being one of the girls.” Jennings was assigned male at birth and identified as female at a young age. She has worked tirelessly to advocate for transgender rights, and she will star in an upcoming TLC reality series.
Transgender celebrity and activist Laverne Cox showed support for Jennings on Twitter, writing to Jennings, “I am crying. So happy for you. The new face of #CleanAndClear. #Amazing.”
