TransLink has not yet decided if it will remove printed schedules from bus stops.
News reports about the immediate demise of the printed schedules two weeks ago infuriated some commuters, but TransLink spokesman Drew Snider said they can breathe easy.
“We’re not removing information tubes,” Snider said. “We are just not restocking certain ones along the routes, there are only 15 per cent of the bus stops that have information tubes to begin with.”
Snider said a firm decision on the tubes and other services could come in time for the back-to-school rush.“We’ve got a schedule change coming up in September and it’s going to be a big one,” he said.
“There are some new services coming in and some half services coming up in some areas and times are being changed.”
