TORONTO – Gold spot price was quoted at C$1,735 bid (US$1,730) and C$1,736 asked (US$1,731) at the close of trading Monday at Travelex Canada Ltd., a major gold and foreign exchange dealer.

At the close, silver spot price was quoted at C$33.50 bid (US$33.34) and C$33.56 asked (US$33.40).
