Troupe marks 30 years of theatresports

Thirty years of laughs and counting.

Theatresports was created by Keith Johnstone and The Loose Moose Theatre in Calgary, and is now an international phenomenon, and Edmonton has one of the longest consecutive-running theatresports shows in the world. Rapid Fire theatre is in its 30th season with no signs of slowing down.

“We at Rapid Fire Theatre have honed the theatresports style over the last 30 years, and our theatresports show is different than one you might see anywhere else in the world,” said Amy Shostak, artistic director of Rapid Fire Theatre.

“Theatresports is a competitive-style improvised show, where teams of improvisors battle each other scene by scene, and the audience gives suggestions and often decides who wins.”
