TTC driver faces sexual assault charge

A TTC bus driver has been charged with sexually assaulted a passenger after allegedly trapping her in a private room at Kipling subway station.

Following an investigation that began last Monday, police are reporting that a 54-year-old woman started a conversation with the 61-year-old bus driver while en route to Kipling station.

Upon arriving at the station, the woman continued to talk to the driver as they approached a TTC employees-only room at the end of the bus bay.

Once in the room, the driver allegedly sexually assaulted the woman and didn’t allow her to exit until she gave him her phone number.

There are also allegations that the bus driver has repeatedly called the victim since the attack.
