Calgary Tweeps are once again coming together to raise money for a good cause — though this time it’s an international event.

Tomorrow’s Calgary Twestival — the third of its kind in the city — is part of a 175-city worldwide effort to raise money for Concern Worldwide, a childhood education organization.

Local organizer Lyn Cadence said the sway of global social media is a powerful one for those looking to make an impact in the world.

“It’s one thing to have one fundraiser, but if it’s happening all over the world, every little bit of money people donate adds up exponentially,” she said.

Tickets for the 6 p.m. March 25 event at the Firewater Pub and Eatery can be found at calgary.twestival.com or can be purchased at the door.
