Excitement is building up for local “fanpires” hoping to spot the cast of Twilight as filming of the third instalment of the movie trilogy, titled Eclipse, starts in Vancouver on Aug 17.
Christine Kilpatrick, owner of Twilight Tours Vancouver and a devoted fan of the series, said she expects her business to continue thriving when filming begins.
She takes fans to get an “up close look at all the real life movie locations.”
Kilpatrick said people looking to spot the cast around Vancouver should spend time at the same places the actors hung out while making the first two movies.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were frequently spotted walking along the Robson and Burrard streets area, she said. They were also seen at the Yaletown Brew Pub and Glowbal Satay & Grill Restaurant.
Kilpatrick said some girls went through extremes to catch a glimpse of Pattinson last May.
She said they crawled “commando style” through a forest area at night and used their cellphones as flashlights to make their way to the set.
