A 49-year-old Nampa man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the discovery of two bodies near Falher, a town in the Peace Country area of Alberta.

A 49-year-old Nampa man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the discovery of two bodies near Falher, a town in the Peace Country area of Alberta.

Melody Chomiak, aka Perry, 45, and her daughter Jerica Bouchard, 20, were found dead in a rural home early Wednesday morning after RCMP and EMS responded to a 911 hang-up call.

Edward John Chomiak is currently in custody and, at the time of the alleged offence, was bound by conditions of a restraining order against his family.
