Two Calgary kids among eight new cases of H1N1

Two children from Calgary are among eight more reported cases of the influenza A (H1N1) virus, also known as swine flu, in Alberta today, according to Alberta Health and Wellness.

The two children from Calgary include a young boy and a young girl, while two more young girls, one from Edmonton and one from northern Alberta, were also reported as having the virus, said the government website.

All cases reported today were a result of mild symptoms, making all but two Albertans mild sufferers, the site said.

There is now a reported 61 cases of H1N1 flu virus in Alberta.

Twenty-eight people diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus had been to infected areas.
