Residents of a St. Jamestown highrise apartment pooled near the front entrance yesterday to mourn a man they called “Juice,” who was gunned down during the night in a drive-by shooting.

People gathered in the lobby of the Bleeker Street building, called The Hamilton, near Bloor and Sherbourne streets. They peered through police tape at a heap of clothes on the sidewalk that belonged to the man they said sold drugs, but was “the nicest person.”

The 31-year-old victim, who has not been identified by police, toppled over face down, residents said, when shots rang out at around 2 a.m. in one of three homicides early Sunday.

A second man is dead and a third in serious condition after bullets went flying on a busy corner in the entertainment district.

Investigators cordoned off a section of street at the corner of Adelaide and Duncan streets yesterday after a shooting outside Flirt nightclub left a man in his 20s dead and another man suffering from gunshot wounds to his “backside.”

Officers said they will review tape from surveillance cameras in the area — there’s one on the southeast corner of Duncan and Adelaide streets.

  • Det. Wayne Fowler said the victim from the Bleeker Street shooting was known to police.
