Two sent to hospital with stab wounds after domestic dispute

Two people were sent to hospital Saturday evening after both were stabbed in a suspected domestic dispute.

Halifax Regional Police say they first received a report of someone being stabbed on Highfield Park Drive in Dartmouth at 7:30 p.m. They arrived at an apartment building to discover two men who had been stabbed by a third man.

“Information leads investigators to believe that a domestic dispute began a chain of events that led to two adult males being stabbed by another adult male,” an HRP police report reads. “It is believed that they all knew each other.”

Both victims were taken to the Dartmouth General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After interviewing the victims police say a suspect was arrested at another residence shortly afterwards.

As of yesterday, police were interviewing the suspect, but no charges had yet been laid.
