Two stabbings in one hour

RCMP responded to two stabbings in metro within an hour of each other Monday night.

At 11 p.m., police were called to the Walker Connection Road, where they say a 27-year-old man came home to find a 20-year-old man in bed with his significant other. He’s accused of stabbing the 20-year-old man in the bedroom.

The older man was due in Dartmouth provincial court yesterday. The victim’s wounds weren’t life-threatening, said RCMP Cpl. Joe Taplin.

Fifty-five minutes later, RCMP arrested a 16-year-old girl outside a Sackville Drive home and charged her with stabbing a 17-year-old male in the chest.

“Some type of argument transpired and the 16-year-old female stabbed the 17-year-old male in the chest area,” Taplin said.

Paramedics treated him at the scene. The girl was to appear in youth court yesterday.
