A 13-year-old boy is one of two youths charged after a violent home invasion in Pickering Friday night.

According to police, five males dressed in black clothing and bandanas over their faces forced their way into a Memory Lane home.

One of the boys pointed a gun at the occupants, demanding cash and drugs. The occupants were all forced to the ground, with one male occupant pushed and kicked repeatedly.

One of the occupants managed to call police on his cellphone, while at the same time several neighbours who had witnessed the forced entry also reported the incident to police.

The 13-year-old and a 16-year-old are charged with robbery and possession of a weapon. The remaining three suspects are still at large.
