Hundreds of spirited students flocked to McMahon Stadium Friday to kick off the school year and cheer on the Dinos football team. The University of Calgary hosted a tailgate party for their students, many of which dressed for the occasion.
After only five days in Calgary, Australian exchange student Dom Clark said the Dinos spirit was contagious.
“Everyone is so involved,” said Clark, donning red face paint and sporting a large “D” on his t-shirt.
Wearing the “O” in Dino was Will Staples, also from Australia. “We wanted to support our local heroes, the Dinos,” he said.
