It was an unusally crazy Sunday night on social media and by the time CarliLloyd scored the third of the U.S. women's soccer team's five goals, it was like New Year's Eve on Ma Bell.
The tweets were fast, furious and joyful.
And a lot of them were from men, who haven't traditionally embraced women's soccer, let alone any female-oriented sport.

Journalist and former California first lady Maria Shriver wrote:"Guys cheering women's soccer. So happy I'm alive 2 see."
EvenPresident Barack Obama and the First Lady took to social media, congratulating the team and inviting team to White House over Twitter.
And oh yeah, bring the cup, Obama said.
