Nova Scotia has the lowest unemployment rate among the Atlantic Provinces.

According to Statistics Canada, 8.8 per cent of the population was unemployed in June, almost one percentage point above the national average of 7.9 per cent.

Newfoundland and Labrador had the highest unemployment rate at 14.7 per cent, with Prince Edward Island coming in at second highest at 12.3 per cent, and New Brunswick at 9.3 per cent.
