Bullies don’t just hang out in school yards, says a union.
The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union demonstrated their Bully-Free Workplace Program to some of the municipality’s big employers yesterday.
Representatives from Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation joined several others for the presentation.
The program is based on a peer-to-peer process where employees who have first-hand experience in dealing with bullying in the workplace explain it to others.
Topics covered include: how to pick out signs of bullying, how managers and employees can reduce it, and how to change unhealthy work relationships.
