Porto scored a pair of valuable away goals yesterday to earn a 2-2 draw at defending champion Manchester United in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Porto substitute Mariano Gonzalez scored the equalizing goal in the 89th minute.
United trailed for the first time in its title defence in the fourth minute when Jonny Evans’ poor clearance allowed Cristian Rodriguez to put Porto ahead.
Emmanuel Adebayor scored a second-half equalizer yesterday to give Arsenal a 1-1 draw at Villarreal in its first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The second legs will be held April 15.
