Vancouver to host Raps, Suns

Vancouver will host an NBA pre-season game between the Phoenix Suns andToronto Raptors on Oct. 6, Canucks Sports and Entertainment announcedyesterday.

Vancouver will host an NBA pre-season game between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors on Oct. 6, Canucks Sports and Entertainment announced yesterday.

The Phoenix Suns pre-season home game at Rogers Arena will feature Victoria native Steve Nash along with teammates Grant Hill, Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu — a former Raptor.

The Toronto roster includes Andrea Bargnani and recently acquired former Sun Leandro Barbosa.

Raptors coach Jay Triano, who played college basketball at Simon Fraser University and later coached at the school, said part of Toronto’s pre-season preparations will take place in B.C.

Tickets go on sale July 24 at 10 a.m., and are priced $21.25 to $98.50 plus applicable fees for bowl seats.

A limited number of floor seats will also be available.
