Will Premier Gordon Campbell announce a decrease in the HST when he addresses the UBCM in Whistler on Friday?
That’s the claim by anti-HST crusader Bill Vander Zalm. The former Socred premier claimed Thursday that Campbell would announce an HST reduction as well as a moved-up referendum date.
The premier’s office said the Vander Zalm’s claims were ridiculous and unfounded, telling The Canadian Press, “It’s not going to happen.”
In a release, Vander Zalm said his information came from reliable sources but would not reveal whom.
