The man accused of stabbing another man in the neck was in court for a bail hearing yesterday.

Robert Reid, 36, is facing five charges in relation to the stabbing incident in Dartmouth on Saturday night, including attempted murder.

A 27-year-old victim was found on the front steps of a residence near Prince Arthur Avenue just after 8 p.m. The victim had a stab wound to his neck and was initially conscious but became unresponsive before he was rushed to hospital.

His condition was considered life-threatening and there is no update from police on his condition.

An arrest was made at the scene and police say the suspect knew the victim.
