Video that shows a cop threaten a Ferguson protester with an assault rifle has led to the officer's indefinite unpaid suspension from the police department, though his police chief defends the obviously emotional cop's decision to wave an assault rifle at a crowd.
Video taken Tuesday night during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, show an officer pointing his weapon at civilians, shouting: "I will f--king kill you."
Two separate videos uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday show the officer pointing a rifle at protestors.
Protester: "Gun raised, gun raised and pointed."
Another protester: "My hands are up."
Officer: "I will f--king kill you, get back!"
Protester: "What's your name, sir?" he asks.
Officer: "Go fuck yourself," the officer replies.
The video shows protesters asking that the officer lower his weapon, and at least one other cop can be seen trying to calm the officer down and leading him away from the scene.
The St. Ann Police Department named the officer as Ray Albers.
