A photographer gave his wife a truly special birthday gift this year: a video commemorating their premature baby’s first year of life.
The emotional 7-minute video by Benjamin Miller, which has been viewed more than2 million times, shows the journey of their son, Ward Miles, living in neonatal intensive care for more than 100 days, finally coming home and growing into a strong 1-year-old boy.
“This is a story of a mother’s love for her baby,” Miller wrote in the video description.
Ward Miles was born July 20, 2012, three-and-a-half months premature and weighing less than a pound and a half. The video opens with Miller’s wife holding their son for the first time, four days after he was born.
