Jim Wolf, an Army veteran, got the change he needed when nonprofit organization Degage Ministries of Grand Rapids, Mich., gave the homeless man a new look.
The haggard, unkempt-looking man got a new suit, his hair cut and dyed, and his beard trimmed. The makeover left Wolf looking polished and professional. Of course, it's not enough to cut a man's hair to make him change his life, but when Wolf saw himself in the mirror, he was apparently touched by the vision of who he could be.
Wolf, who has struggled with alcoholism, was jolted into action after seeing his reflection, leaping out of his chair to give one of his benefactors a big hug. According to Degage, Wolf is scheduled to have his own housing and has begun attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
