Video takes aim at drunk driving

Film studies students at Edmonton’s Victoria School of the Arts have worked with staff members to create a video that will promote an anti-drinking and driving message.

Working with Alberta Motor Association and Edmonton Police Services, the students have produced an educational video entitled Dead End Drive. The fast-paced video features a charismatic lead character, a muscle car and a rock band.

In the end, more than 150 people contributed to the project, with an official unveiling taking place Friday at Victoria School.

The film was shot in and around Edmonton on a budget of $7,500 funded by Vic, AMA and EPS.

It is estimated that $25,000 in volunteer hours also went into the production.
