This amazing time-lapse video captures the Costa Concordia cruise ship being righted, completing a 19-hour operation early Tuesday morning near Giglio Island, Italy.

The video, compiled from thousands of images, captures the sunken ship's transition from lying on its side on a reef Monday through Tuesday morning, when the ship was successfully maneuvered upright.

The Costa Concordia cruise ship capsized on Jan. 12 last year, killing 30 people.
