VIDEO: WestJet and Santa grant passengers’ Christmas wishes

An airline pulled off a real Christmas miracle recently when it surprised 250 lucky passengers with gifts straight from their wish lists.

Passengers on a WestJet flight were greeted at the airport by Santa on a digital screen, who asked them what they wanted for Christmas.

What they didn’t know was that there was a team of 150 volunteers behind the scenes carefully taking notes.

As the passengers snoozed on the plane, the volunteers ran around buying the gifts and wrapping them at the airport.

Once the travelers arrived at their destination and waited at baggage claim, they were surprised to see wrapped Christmas gifts with their names on them roll out on the baggage carousel.

They received everything they had asked for — a big-screen TV for one couple, an Android tablet for a young boy, and socks and underwear for a man who probably wishes he had asked for something else.

Watch the passengers’ reactions in the heartwarming video that has nearly a million hits on YouTube.
