Violent Dartmouth robbery sends man to hospital

There were two robberies in Dartmouth Tuesday night, including one where the suspects were said to have a gun and a knife.

Halifax Regional Police say the first incident involved a man who was punched and kicked unconscious by two male suspects and then robbed around 7:15 p.m. at Brookhouse School. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police describe the suspects as white males around 18 years of age.

A little more than four hours later, police say three friends were robbed on the corner of Fraser and Jamieson streets.

The victims reported the two male robbers claimed to have a gun and a knife, however police said neither weapon was seen in the theft.

No injuries were reported and a K-9 unit couldn’t locate the suspects, both described as white males with shaved heads.
