W Network show looks for local homeowners

If you’re looking to sell your house in the next six months and can look great doing it, you could be experiencing your 15 minutes of fame soon.

A new TV series filming in Ottawa is looking for 26 homeowners — singles, couples and families — to star in All For Nothing?, a national series to be aired on W Network.

The producers are the same ones that made The Restaurant Adventures of Caroline and Dave — which followed Ottawa couple chef Caroline Ishii and sommelier Dave Loan as they worked to make their restaurant, ZenKitchen, a success.

“If you are willing to sell your home in next six months and have limited funds to be put towards renovations, we can offer advice from design experts and realtors and get them doing this by themselves, on the cheap,” said Beverly Charles, a production assistant for All For Nothing?

Whoever does this the best on each episode gets free representation from a realtor, which the show has already auditioned.

“We’re looking for people in their 20s and 30s, up to people in their 50s, who are energetic and charismatic,” Charles said. “We want to have fun shooting it. And if your house is a mess, great!”

The show will catch the high and low points of the process, Charles said. “Selling anything is stressful and people get attached to their stuff. Sometimes it’s difficult and you’re under the wire,” she said.

The show is hosting a group casting at the Habitat for Humanity Restore from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
