Police have issued a public warning after a high-risk offender released into the city last month allegedly violated his conditions yesterday morning.
Officials say Dean Robert Zimmerman, 44, was supposed to stay at an approved address as part of his conditions when released on Sept. 29, but when police checked in early yesterday morning he wasn’t home.
“Mr. Zimmerman has a history of violently assaulting women who he has known for various lengths of time,” Sgt. Rich Veldhoen said.
“We’re warning the public … he is not complying and we’re not sure where he is or what he is doing.”
Zimmerman served four years and three months in a federal prison before being released.
