Beautiful brides-to-be walked down the aisles in droves yesterday at the Bridal Fantasy show held at the Telus Convention Centre.
And the 2008 show was the biggest one yet with around 1,500 more brides than last year, according to organizer Heidi Dennis.
“This show was our biggest yet and we had a really good turnout. I think the stand out was the fashion show and with the magazine they added the final touches,” she told Metro, adding about 6,000 people attended.
The biggest attraction was the world-class fashion show, which had models strut their runway best to a packed house.
“There is standing room only. A lot of people want to watch the fashion show; it’s very well put together. We have the best of the best here.”
According to Dennis the average age of brides is 27 — 29 for grooms — but there were couples of all ages taking in the show.
Jaime Smith was one of the many brides-to-be who wanted to get a sneak peek at the latest in gown fashions.
“I just dragged my fiancé out to check out what the gowns look like and watch the fashion show. We’re getting married next year but it’s never too early,” she said.
