Ottawa acting mayor Michel Bellemare is proclaiming Wednesday, “Falun Dafa Day” in Ottawa.
The occasion marks the 17th anniversary of the introduction of the Chinese spiritual disciple Falun Gong to the public.
The self-improvement system or cultivation practice guides practitioners to mental, moral, and physical well-being through meditative exercises and the guiding principles of “Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance.”
In Ottawa, the Falun Dafa Tian Gup marching band will perform on Sparks Street, while speeches, music, dance, singing and exercise demos will take place on Parliament Hill.
