Music fans at this weekend’s Virgin Festival in Burnaby will be rocking to a different show than concertgoers in other cities, as organizers customize the lineups for each market.
The festival, which is being held at Deer Lake Park, features headliners Our Lady Peace, Broken Social Scene and the Roots on Saturday, and Metric, Sonic Youth and Ben Harper and Relentless7 on Sunday.
“We talk to folks in every market and find out who they want to see,” said Andrew Bridge, director of Virgin Festivals. “You’ll see an indie-rock genre in Vancouver.”
The festival is making a two-day stop in Vancouver before heading to Calgary and Toronto.
Other than music, there will also be yoga, massages and pole dancing.
Day tickets to the Virgin Festival are $75 and weekend passes are $135. Tickets packages are also available at four for the price of three.
