Wegmans Food Markets on Thursday announced it’s recalling two organic fruit juice products found to contain unacceptable levels of a mold byproduct.

The two products are 64-ounce Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organic Apple Juice and Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organic Cranberry Juice Blend.

The apple juice has expiration dates from Jan. 28, 2014, through March 19, 2014. The cranberry juice has a Nov. 5, 2014, expiration date.

The store is asking its customers to dump the juice and return empty containers for full refunds.

The grocery store chain, which has 81 stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia and Massachusetts, says it was informed by supplier Clement Pappas & Co. that the apple juice concentrate it used contained high levels of the mold byproduct patulin.

While it is unlikely the patulin would cause illness, Wegmans said, the company advises against its customers drinking the juice.
