Weird news roundup: Half-naked drunk ladies and month-long erections

Half-naked drunk ladies, month-long erections, kids getting drunk for punishment — what a week! This is another installment of Generation Beta.

Drunk swimming: the best punishment ever?

A man in the Phoenix suburb of Surprise is accused of disciplining his young sons by forcing them to take three shots of liquor each — and then throwing them in the pool.

Nothing like a drunken forced cold bath to teach a 13-year-old kid he’s done wrong. Or a 14-year-old, for that matter.

Kristopher Harvey faces two counts of child abuse.

And why did this forced liquoring occur?

Police say Harvey was punishing the kids for getting into his liquor the previous week.

The boys were visiting Harvey from California, where they live with their grandmother.

Woman beats man with prosthetic leg. That’ll teach him.

Police say an altercation turned violent when a woman beat a man with her prosthetic leg in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Investigators say the woman and a 29-year-old man were fighting over groceries. That’s when the victim says the woman took off her leg… and started hitting him with it.

Police say the woman’s dialysis tube was pulled from her neck during the fight.

She accuses her victim of punching her. No charges have been filed.

Half-naked lady Tasered

Police Tasered a half-naked woman in Greenville, Virginia when responding to a report of an SUV that had become stuck on the railroad tracks.

When authorities arrived, they found the SUV removed…and two 20-something men at the scene.

An irate Virginia Simmons, 47, appared from a nearby home in only a T-shirt. She screamed at the officers, ignored demands to return to her home, and was Tasered.

Simmons is charged with indecent exposure, obstruction of justice, being drunk in public and disorderly conduct. 21-year-old Daniel Bombaci and 25-year-old Michael Hamilton also were charged with being drunk in public.

Ohio school withholds diploma because of cheering

A student will not receive his diploma and is being required to do 20 hours of community service, as a punishment for overly excited cheering by his family at the graduation.

The Superintendent of Mount Healthy City Schools, Lori Handler, stands by the decision, saying overly boisterous parents shouts are unfair to others who want to hear their student’s names called and cheered.

The family says their suburban Cincinnati football star grad shouldn’t be punished because his family and friends are proud.

Man sues hospital over erection treatment

A bus driver is suing a Connecticut hospital, saying staff failed to promptly treat his painful erection because the game was on.

Daren Scott of Brockton, Mass., is seeking $2 million in his federal lawsuit against Yale-New Haven Hospital. He says that he went to an emergency medical facility affiliated with teh hospital after dropping off his passengers on April 17, 2009.

He alleges that the staff first made him move his bus, for having parked in the wrong area.

He returned to the waiting room, where he says he remained for over an hour, while staff members watched the baseball game.

The hospital denies the allegations, and says Scott was negligent in failing to seek immediate treatment or follow medical advice regarding his care. They also said the case is outside of its statute of limitations.

Scott says he has recurrent priapism, a persistent painful erection unrelated to sexual stimulation.
