Airlines WestJet Airlines, Air France and Amsterdam-based KLM have taken a step toward inking a deal that would allow passengers to easily connect with all three airline networks.
The three carriers said yesterday they reached a memorandum of understanding to begin working on a code-sharing agreement in late 2009 or early 2010.
In the meantime, the companies are looking into ways to co-operate on baggage check-in, e-ticket sales and a potential frequent flyer program under a possible inter-line agreement.
