All bolts similar to the one that caused a Whistler chairlift to fall last week have been replaced, the resort’s operators announced.

According to Intrawest, a single chair became loose and fell from the Harmony Express lift on Thursday morning. The chair was empty and no one was injured, but the incident is receiving media attention from around the world because the resort will be hosting Winter Olympic events one year from now.

The lift was shut down for two days while the B.C. Safety Authority and lift manufacturer Leitner-Poma of America investigated. It was discovered that a mounting bolt had failed, according to CBC News Online.

Intrawest called it an isolated incident and announced that all similar bolts have been replaced.
