Six months after she nearly died in a bathtub, an eerie echo of her famous mom's demise, Bobbi Kristina Brown is dead, the family of Whitney Houston said Sunday night.

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," a family statement said.

FLASHBACK: Bobbi Kristina found face down, unresponsive.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Houston and troubled singer Bobby Brown, has been in a coma and in hospice care in Duluth, Ga. after being found submerged in the tub in her Roswell, Georgia, home Jan. 31.

In April, grandmother Cissy Houston said Bobbihad"global and irreversible brain damage."

Whitney Houston and her R&B singer husband had a very public battle with substance abuse, and he had seversal run-ins with the law.

Houston was enjoying a comeback of sorts and drowned on Feb. 11, 2012 on the eve of the Grammy Awards, in a Beverly Hills hotel.

The medical examiner said heart disease and other complications tied to cocaine abuse were contributing factors.

There have been multiple reports that Bobbi Kristina had fallen into her own drug spiral.

She was found by the man she called her husband, Nick Gordon, who was three years older than her and an orphan raised by Houston.

The Houston family has since blamed him for the near-drowning and have filed a $10 million, saying he stole from the 22-year-old's account and physically abused her.

Bobbi Kristina's death has drawn a huge reaction on social media from fans and celebrities, alike.
