Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, received more nominations — and abuse — yesterday as more secret U.S. diplomatic messages were revealed.

Kim Kardashian received a sudden glut of nominations as Woman of the Year — a concerted effort by a group of fans, perhaps? — and Michelle Obama remains at the top of the list of nominations. Sarah Palin is running a close second.

You can nominate anyone for Metro’s Man and Woman of the Year event, and for our Local Heroes coverage, by e-mailing: mwoty@metro.us and localheroes@metro.us.

The Man and Woman of the Year, as well as a selection of local heroes, will be featured in a special edition of Metro to be published on Dec. 27.
