Halifax native David Williamson finished among the top six players at the Canadian Tour’s spring qualifying school in Parksville, B.C., on the weekend.
Ashburn’s Williamson fired a final-round 74 for a share of fourth spot with a four-day 285 — eight strokes behind American wire-to-wire winner Brady Schnell.
The strong finish gives Williamson exempt status on the Canadian Tour, which begins this coming weekend with the Times-Colonist Open at the Uplands Golf Club in Victoria, B.C.
