Police are reminding Calgarians to lock their windows and doors at night after an early morning assault left a woman unconscious in her own home.
Insp. James Hardy said a woman was assaulted by an unknown offender when she confronted the stranger in her home in the 3100 block of Lake Fraser Court SE around 5 a.m.
“We don’t know what the intention or motive of the offender was but the woman was assaulted in her home and she was left unconscious,” Hardy said.
Police believe the suspect entered through an unlocked window.
Hardy said the difficult part about the investigation is there is not a clear description of the attacker.
“I know it’s warm out, but it’s important people remain vigilant and try to prevent crimes of opportunity,” Hardy said.
