Thirty-two-year-old Wanda Faye Geddes of Calgary was charged with second-degree murder on Saturday after a man believed to be in his fifties was found dead the night before outside a house in the 7500 block of Hunterview Drive N.W.

Police were called to the residence for a check on welfare call around 11 p.m. Friday night, but Insp. Michael Watterston said police aren’t releasing information on the cause of death until official autopsy results are received.
“We’re not positive of the circumstances yet but after we get the identification of the victim and the autopsy results back we will know more. We have charged one person as a result of our ongoing investigation,” he said.
The crime scene was taped off over the weekend and residents of the four-plex where the victim was found weren’t allowed back into the homes while police investigated.
