A 50-year-old woman is facing several charges including impaired driving and leaving the scene of an accident after police responded to a hit-and-run in Dartmouth late Sunday night.
Halifax Regional Police say the incident took place on James St. at 11:15 p.m. as witnesses saw a minivan drive into the back of a parked half-ton truck, which was then pushed forward and crashed into the rear of another parked car.
All three vehicles were damaged, police say, including the minivan, which then fled the scene without a front bumper. There were no injuries.
A short time later, police say they pulled over the minivan and arrested the driver, who is also charged with refusal of the breathalyzer.
