A woman was discovered murdered Wednesday morning behind the wheel of a grey Mercedes Benz in an industrial park in Richmond.
Investigators have not confirmed the identity of the victim, but believe she was known to police.
The woman, who is described as being in her mid-30s, apparently died from a gunshot wound. An autopsy to confirm the cause of death is expected in the coming days, said Cpl. Dale Carr.
“The main question on our minds at this time is what brought the victim to that location at that time of day,” Carr said.
Paramedics discovered the body at 4:20 a.m. in the 2500 block of Shell Road behind an industrial building.
