A woman was murdered yesterday inside a Kitsilano apartment.
Vancouver police were called to 2345 West Fifth Ave. at about 12:40 p.m. Patrol officers discovered a deceased woman inside a first-floor suite.
Vancouver Const. Anne Longley said a suspect was arrested inside the building and taken to hospital.
“He didn’t appear to be well,” said Longley, outside the green-and-brick three-storey building. “He remains in the hospital at this time.”
Yesterday afternoon the alley behind the apartment was cordoned with yellow police tape and two police cruisers. The woman’s body remained in the suite, Longley said, as police awaited a search warrant and the arrival of the coroner.
Longley would not say what was wrong with the man.
Police were not releasing the woman’s identity and Longley said the suspect’s relationship with her is undetermined.
