The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the theft of a diamond ring worth $50,000 from a Rideau Centre jewelry store.
On May 21, shortly before 2 p.m., police responded to a theft of jewelry in the Rideau Centre.
A police release says a woman walked
into the jewelry store and asked to try on engagement rings.

Police say as the salesperson provided the suspect with a second ring for
trial, she ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as about 5'11"- 6'(180cm-183cm) tall,
130pounds, (59 kg), dark curly hair, with darker complexion, wearing dark
colored jeans and a dark tank top.
