An Ottawa teen wanted by police in connection with the seizure of a semi-automatic handgun at the University of Ottawa last week has turned herself in to police.
On March 31, the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit seized a semi-automatic handgun after executing a warrant at a uOttawa student residence.
They arrested a 22-year-old man who was not a student at the university and charged him with 10 firearm-related offences.
After issuing a warrant for the arrest of a female, an 18-year-old woman turned herself in yesterday.
She faces charges of careless storage of a firearm, weapons dangerous, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing no authority to have firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm and possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
Jessica Wallace was scheduled to appear in court yesterday.
