There have been more calls to police since a Toronto doctor was charged with sexually assaulting three female patients.

Det.-Const. Julie Stehlik says calls have been coming in all week after concerned women were asked to come forward following the arrest of Dr. George Doodnaught last week. He’s alleged to have sexually assaulted three patients while they were under anesthetic.

While she couldn’t provide details, Stehlik said there have been “numerous phone calls” from people that will have to be interviewed.

She says the investigation is very much “active and ongoing,” but adds it’s too early to say when police will provide an update on the case as there is still much more work to be done.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
